Past Attendee

The Grateful event is a wonderful way to help raise awareness for important issues that don’t often make it into the mainstream. In the past this has included a focus on the health of our coastline and the linked native culture that coexists alongside.

I went last year for the first time and really enjoyed both the on and offsite activities, the vendor stalls and taking in the great local food. But perhaps most all I remember the cool people I met and still keep I touch with. The organizers and volunteers made sure we were taken care at all times. I definitely recommend anyone considering going check it out.

I’m excited to hear the event is happening again this year. Can’t wait to see how it evolves over time and grows!

Closing Ceremony & New Beginnings

On the final day, we’ll begin with a peaceful sunrise meditation, embracing the stillness and beauty of the morning as we reflect on the journey we’ve shared. Attending the Grateful Event, organized by the talented artist and nature advocate Fallon, was an unforgettable experience. The event beautifully combined education, community, and healing, all while raising awareness about the endangered Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary and the on going struggle to protect this sacred land. Fallon’s art, inspired by the beauty of the sea and nature, was a captivating highlight, adding a deeper connection to the event’s theme of environmental preservation. In addition to the art, there were educational activities such as Chumash history lessons, yoga, breathing techniques, sound bowl healing, and meditation. The local vendors who showcased their unique businesses added to the vibrant, supportive atmosphere. Fallon’s vision brought together a perfect blend of mindfulness, culture, and activism, and I left feeling inspired and grateful. I highly recommend the Grateful Event to anyone looking for a meaningful and holistic experience.

2023 Grateful Event in Cambria, CA was such a lovely weekend. Learning about the Chumash Heritage site and their goal of protecting the waters around a sacred site by joining two marine protected areas is inspiring. The weather was wonderful and vendors had very interesting items for purchase from wonderful ocean art pieces to spiritual guidance. I look forward to going to their event in 2024.
